We bought a million dollar house sight-unseen!

We spent almost a million dollars on a house we've never seen!! Is it a million dollar mistake?! Or do the numbers make sense? Give us all the advice, tips and tricks on our first big Airbnb rental house! Look through the numbers with us and give us a reality check. Airbnb and VRBO investing - is it a thing of the past, or can we still make money doing it? At the end we go into the hopeful plan of how we dream this property can be a large piece of our retirement planning - we know that nothing is for sure, but we also believe in the principle of the path, and if we don't take the first step....we will never get there! We have always loved the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area. I love that you can do all the touristy things…or be completely secluded in nature in the Smoky Mountain National Park - all within 15/20 minutes of each other. You can get both sides of fun. Don’t want to see people? Do nature trails, hikes, swimming, etc. Want to see people? Walk the strip of Gatlinburg. Want something artsy? Do the Arts and Crafts Loop.
There is a mix of everything there, and we LOVE going to visit.
